Memorial Day Treats

DSC_1051-2

Happy Memorial Day!! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend. Yesterday my family and I made these red, white, and blue cake jars for Memorial Day. We also made a strawberry peach lemonade bubbly. They are both super easy to make and I have listed the steps below. Enjoy!

Materials

  • Mason Jars
  • Vanilla Icing
  • Red and Blue Food Coloring
  • 3 White Cakes Mixes
  • Sprinkles
  • Ginger Ale
  • Strawberry Peach Juice
  • Lemonade
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Lime
  • Paper Straws

1. After you have allowed your cakes to cool, cut out cake circles using the lid of your mason jar.

2. Place 1 cake circle in the jar, followed by a layer of icing. Repeat after each cake layer. DSC_1045-2

3. Once finished top with sprinkles and place in the refrigerator over night. DSC_1078-2

The strawberry peach lemonade is 1/3 strawberry peach juice (I used Welch’s), 1/3 lemonade, and 1/3 Ginger Ale topped with lime and lemon juice.
