Oh Wow!!! I can’t believe it’s my 21st Birthday. Not long ago, I was writing my 20th Birthday post and now I’m already on 21! Time truly flies when you are having fun and enjoying everything life has to offer. I have had an AMAZING year from my incredible trip abroad, meeting new people, and just simply growing up and gaining new experiences.
Last weekend my family came down to Oxford to celebrate this milestone with me. I was thrilled to see my entire family including my younger brother who is a sophomore at Mississippi State University (I know I know! He loves it though). They arrived Friday afternoon and once I got off of work I drove straight to the condo they were staying at. We had a relaxing evening at home, enjoying each others company and playing uno and monopoly. The monopoly game got pretty intense and lasted to about 2am.
Saturday morning we woke up bright and early in the morning. My family made the most delicious breakfast. I’m not much of cooker so It’s always so nice to have a home cooked meal. Once we ate breakfast we went out to take pictures followed by a much needed nap.
After our nap we woke up and headed to Premier Lanes for a round of bowling and playing arcade games. I’m not good at bowling, like at all! lol When I was around 13 or 14 I majorly cracked a bowling ball. When I graciously turned it in to an employee he was shocked that I had did it. He said “It’s no problem it happens often, but I will have to say it has always been grown men who crack the balls. Not teenage girls.” Haha! When bowling on Saturday I only achieved a score of 59 barely beating an eight and five year old. I still had a blast and being in the company of my family was all that mattered.
After bowling, we headed back to the condo and my mom cooked one of my favorites; fried chicken, green beans, and macaroni and cheese. It was a great weekend and I am so thankful to have such a loving family that went above and beyond to make my birthday fun and fabulous.
