New GRM Look

Welcome to the New GRM! Though the logo, blog design, and shades of pink have changed it’s still the same me and same mission! The new branding of GRM has been a long time coming and I encourage you to browse around the blog. Since starting my blog, my mission has always been to help women discover a sense of glamour and allure in the items they use to express themselves and in the terms they live their life by. I continuously hope that through my personal stories and creations, readers are inspired to live a glamorous life on their own terms. There are so many things that I can’t wait to share with you all. Be sure to follow my Instagram and Facebook to be notified when new posts go live.

Went Back to School

Since August of 2018, I have been attending a local university to get my Masters of Arts in Digital and Web Design with Graphic Design certification. Getting my masters has been something I wanted to achieve for years now. It’s a fairly common legacy in my family to continue your education post a bachelors degree. I want to continue this unspoken tradition not just for them but for me. Starting my blog has really opened my eyes to the word of design and technology. Over time my curiosity started taking the lead and I found myself spending hours and hours designing logos and creating prototypes for websites. After what I called a “peak” in my self taught skillset I knew I needed more formal education. For me, there is something therapeutic about being able to create new things out of nothing. Graphic and web design allows me to use my creativity and imagination to come up with an idea and bring it to life while only using my fingers and a keyboard. It’s pure magic!

Started a New Job

The biggest change in my life in addition to starting graduate school has been working full-time as a Marketing Operations Associate for a local non-profit. I started right after my birthday in October and the timing was perfect. After months of working full time as a Pilates Instructor, I started to feel a sense of normality to the job and indifference. I started yearning to create something, anything. My new job feeds my creativity by allowing me to create flyers, digital advertisements, social media content, newsletters, be a photographer, manage the website, and much more. Every day is different and there is always something that needs to be created.

Traveled Here and There

Even though I have been really busy over the past year, I have been able to travel here and there. Since I haven’t been able to travel internationally lately due to my new job and school responsibilities, my mom and I have made it a priority to go on domestic weekend or day trips as often as we can. Our favorite places we have traveled to have been Hot Springs, Arkansas and Hermann, Missouri. I was able to visit Miami for the first time in April. I had a great time enjoying the sun and beach while celebrating a friend’s birthday. In July my family and I went on a family vacation to Branson, Missouri. Though the weather was hit or miss, it was great spending time at Table Rock Lake and ziplining through the trees. I will be sharing those trips as part of my new blog series #ThrowbackThursday where I hope to catch you up on some exciting things that I have done or places I’ve visited over the past year.
